Ali Landry was born on July 21, 1973 in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, USA. Standing at 5'8" tall Landry graduated in 1991 from Cecelia High School in Cecelia, Lousiana. She is a former Miss USA (1996), model and an actress. Her first taste of popularity came in 1990 when she was crowned Miss Lousiana Teen USA. She then participated in Miss Teen USA and represented Louisiana in the contest where she was placed seventh.

Ali Landry won the Miss Louisiana USA title in 1996 and later went to participate at the Miss USA 1996 title. There she gained the highest place in the finalist and ultimately won the title of Miss USA 1996. Ali Landry next went to compete in the 1996 Miss Universe pageant in May that year which was held in Las Vegas. Ali Landry performed very well during the pageant but could not make it to the final position. She achieved the overall highest scorer from USA, until 2000.

Ali Landry has also excelled at modeling for photographs and magazines. She appeared as a spokeswoman for the Doritos chips company during Super Bowl 1998 and 1999 football games. Her Doritos ad was a big hit and initiated many male fans toss Doritos bags like footballs to her. In 1998 "People" magazine named her as one of the 50 most beautiful people in the world. Ali Landry in a trained gymnast but required great practice to get her few seconds' acrobatic stunts right for the commercials. She was a runner up in the Fear Factor show. She also participated in the Boston Marathon. Ali Landry attended and graduated with a BA in Mass Communications from the University of Southwestern Louisiana.

Mario Lopez was her long time boyfriend and Ali Landry married him on 24 April 2004. But the marriage negated within two weeks time. According to the sources betrayal by Lopez caused the end to the relationship. Ali Landry was later engaged to Alejandro Gomez Monteverde, a film director on Memorial Day, 2005. On 8 April 2006 they married in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. Together with her husband she made a film "Bella" in 2006. The movie is directed by her husband and produced by their business partners Sean Wolfington, Eduardo Verastegui, Leo Severino and Denise Pinckley. "Bella" received the people's choice Award voted by the festival audiences at the film festival.
