Tailor James (born July 21, 1980 in Mississauga, Ontario) is a Canadian model.
She began modeling at the age of 17, doing calendars and catalog work. Her first nudes were shot with Mystique magazine. Later, a photographer friend of hers suggested she pose for Playboy, and submitted her photos to the publication. They then invited her to come in and take test shots. After this she was approved to be a Playmate, but since there were several other blondes in line ahead of her, they decided to push her centerfold appearance back and she was subsequently Miss June 2003. Prior to her playmate appearance in the June 2003 issue, she was Cyber Girl of the Week in September 2001, and Cyber Girl of the Month in January 2002. Tailor has since been on over a dozen International Playboy covers.
Tailor James is internationally known for her beauty, being one of the world's most popular glamour super models. This all natural sex-kitten was born just outside of Toronto, Canada. Tailor never really thought about modeling until she was approached by a photographer whose eye she caught at age seventeen while hanging out with friends at a local restaurant. Soon after her first shoot, many different agencies pursued the sultry starlet which led her to many small roles in film and television, commercials, and television presenting/hosting. Tailor started working steadily as a print model, gracing the pages and covers of many calendars, magazine editorials, and major advertising campaigns.
At this point things were really picking up for Tailor, but she wanted more. An old friend suggested Tailor meet with the editors and owners of Mystique Magazine. This led her to posing for several of Mystique Magazine's layouts, taking her to many exotic locations around the world shooting with renowned photographer Mark Daughn.
Shortly thereafter, her pictures were submitted to Playboy. Liking what they saw, she was soon whisked away to Chicago for a test shoot for Playmate. In the meantime she appeared as a Cybergirl in late 2001, and had the most votes by fans and was given the title of Cybergirl of the Month of January 2002. She was flown to LA to shoot her pictorial as well as her Centerfold and to meet with the man himself, Hugh Hefner. Mr. Hefner more than approved Tailor for Playmate eligibility and she was given the title of Miss June 2003 which sent her into international stardom. Since then, Tailor has appeared on over a dozen Playboy covers world wide. Not only that, she has been included in the top "Sexy 100" issue for the past few years.
Aside from her work for Playboy, she has also added many more professional notches to her belt, with various covers, photoshoots and interviews for many well known magazines in North America, Europe, and Asia, taking advantage of her much deserved celebrity name.
Besides all the glitz and glamour of high glamour modeling, Tailor also nourishes her caring side. Using her celebrity status to take advantage of doing some good, she also partakes in many different charity events, helping where she can.
Tailor James will soon be launching her own high end line of skin care: Skin Karma, an advanced nano-technology skin care system. (See attached)
In the mean time, Tailor is entertaining the lenses of many world renowned photographers for upcoming covers and layouts, hosting several new TV shows, and working on some endorsements as well as working on her up and coming line of swimwear.
